Gifts that give back are a result of businesses that believe in creating profit with a purpose. Personally, I am a firm believer in commerce and philanthropy fusion, and in particular I am passionate about products that give back to and empower women and girls. It seems I am not alone in this ideal – there are a growing number of women around the world who are creating meaningful businesses that give back to women’s communities – these are the types of products I wish to promote – and you will find seven of my current favourites listed below…
As a self-care advocate, I have selected businesses that produce self-care products – when you give a self-care product as a gift, it not only delights the person receiving the gift, but it also soothes, nourishes and rejuvenates them by providing an opportunity for them to practice self-care. You may be gifting a product but what you are actually gifting is a self-care ‘experience’.
I hope you will find some inspiration in the selection below, and I hope you will remember to gift to yourself as well as others…..
1 – Caim & Able – Magnesium Bath Salts & Body Scrubs that Give Back
Vegan, handmade and toxin free, Caim and Able produce beautiful magnesium bath salts, body scrubs and oils for the body. Magnesium is a must have self-care tool in our hurried world. Magnesium deficiency can lead to body aches and pains, stress and anxiety, fatigue, and difficulty sleeping.
I love Caim and Able products and their ethos – founder, Michelle Mathewman has infused ‘giving back’ into her business model. Caim and Able donate 25% of their profits to support women and children escaping domestic violence. Plus, their products are packaged in Sydney by an Australian Disability Enterprise – providing meaningful employment opportunities to people with disabilities.

Prosperity candles are unique candles and fair trade gifts handmade by women artisans and refugees creating a brighter future in the U.S. They are made with soy blend wax, premium fragrances and natural wicks. Never any dyes or enhancers.
I particularly love this massage candle – when you’ve burned your candle and extinguished the flame, you have hot massage oil! Let it cool to a comfortable temperature, dip your finger or slowly pour, and massage into skin.

Mantraband is on a mission to inspire and empower with positive messages.
Research shows that positive thinking and mindfulness can lead to a better life. Self-talk is a big part of self-care.
