Burnout Recovery:
Personalised Programs for
Multicultural Women

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), burnout is a work-related syndrome that arises from chronic stress. Burnout has been included in the International Classification of Diseases since 2019, and research shows that it can lead to career stagnation and increase mortality by 35%.

While excess workload is often linked to chronic stress and burnout, other factors, such as gender roles and ethnicity, can exacerbate stress in the workplace. For example, studies show that 43% of women experience burnout compared to 31% of men, and women from underrepresented minority groups are often the most impacted by burnout, yet the least addressed. These groups include women at the intersections of culture, race, and religion; culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women; and adult daughters of immigrants/refugees in the workplace.

Nearly 80% of minority women report feeling depleted from work and rarely having anything left in the tank.

As standard approaches to burnout recovery may lack cultural relevance and applicability, this personalised program addresses this gap by making burnout recovery culturally appropriate and achievable for women from underrepresented minority groups.

KEY FEATURES

The Burnout Recovery Program is structured around five phases: Create, Identify, Apply, Address, and Establish. Since everyone's experience with burnout is unique, the number of recommended sessions for each phase will be determined on a case-by-case basis, allowing the program to be tailored to your specific needs. The goal is to support you without adding to your stress, so there are no hard deadlines to meet. Book a free discovery call to learn more about the program and how we can work together to help you recover from burnout.

Özlem's work empowered me to reflect, reconsider and reconnect with my own ‘why?’ I was motivated to make genuine, practical steps to return to my ‘thriving zone’. Özlem has ignited a spirit in me that was gradually fading from the pressures of motherhood & working life. Now I feel enthused and excited about the positive changes I am making. I have a clarity of thought that has been absent for years. I’ve been galvanised into action! It’s truly life-changing stuff!
